I have always been active in life. Having played football and wrestling in high school and two years of college wrestling I used to really enjoy being active and working out. After leaving college and starting a career my fitness level took a decline. I would go to the gym and do the regular routine of Chest/Tri’s, Back/Biceps, Shoulder’s/Legs and some cardio a few days a week. This would get old and boring and I would stop for a few months. Then a friend of mine told me about CrossFit and told me if I started I would never stop. He was correct, I started in June 2012 and I am now enjoying the pursuit of fitness again.
The biggest difference for me in continuing to stay with CrossFit is the community. The community at Gorillaz Fitness is now part of my family. In sports there is a team and you always hold each other accountable, CrossFit does the same thing for me. The workouts change each day to help you become a well-rounded individual. Whether it is family, work, or physical fitness CrossFit has made a difference in my life for the positive.
As a coach watching people change with CrossFit is amazing. If you have specific goals to lose weight, get stronger, run a marathon or just look good with your shirt off CrossFit can help you accomplish those goals. It is awesome to be part of implementing these goals for another person knowing how much CrossFit has impacted me. I strive to share my found again enjoyment of fitness with everyone at Gorillaz Fitness.
