Gorillaz is my passion, my vision, and so much more. I spent the early part of my life working at a private company as an accountant and worked my way up the ladder but always felt like something was missing.
After I had my son I was looking for a way to get back in shape but I also was at a point in my life where wanted to give back. I got involved with Team in Training and ran my first endurance event raising money for LLS along the way. It was through their organization that I found my passion for running and my passion for coaching.
Several years later I was training with a personal trainer several days a week and simply was in a rut. I would occasionally see the people from the nearby box run by our business and it sparked my interest. I worked up the nerve, walked in the door and never looked back.
I am a true believer in the philosophy of Crossfit. I have seen it work not only in myself but throughout my community. Anyone can do it. Young, old, experienced athlete, or someone just looking to change their life.
I wanted to build a place where everyone could feel like they fit. It was built on families getting fit together. It was built out of a passion that believes anyone can do anything they put their mind to. I love every day that I walk into Gorillaz. I get to see the look on people's faces and the excitement in their eyes when they do something they never dreamed they could do. That is my happy place.
